Priority Program IV: Family Preservation

This priority program comprises several models and service delivery components that are unique to addressing cultural and environmental nuances of African American and other ethnic populations in local Health Zone 1 (a zip code cluster with the most economically deprived and underserved populations in the county’s urban core). It is designed to empower underserved children and families to develop and manage strong family ties. Mirroring two models developed by the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP) and a community mapping process, it incorporates research-informed approaches to enhancing family strengths, child development while reducing child abuse and neglect.
